The Association of Family Practice PAs and SPAR co-hosted
an exhibit table at the San Diego Convention Center during
the AAPA annual conference.
SPAR had two successful events:
SPAR CME/Reception held Sunday, May 24th, 7:30 pm - 9:00 pm
SPAR Business meeting held Tuesday, May 26th, 12:00 pm - 2:30 pm

Graduated in 1981 from the University of Oklahoma PA program. Oklahoma Academy of
PAs president - 1989-90, 1992-93, and 1998. AAPA Director-at-Large from 1991-2001,
Joined McBride clinic 1981-present. University of Oklahoma Adjunct Professor 1984-05.
Graduated in 1977 from Western Michigan PA program. MS healthcare administrator in

Graduated in 2005 from Mercy College PA program, St. Marys Hospital, Waterbury,

Barbara attained her Physician Assistant degree from the University of North
Texas, College of Osteopathic Medicine in Fort Worth. She completed her
Masters and Bachelors degrees in Social Work from the University of Maryland.

Linda Davis completed a Bachelor of Science in radiological sciences and
then worked in that arena for more than 25 years, acquiring a Master's and
Education Specialist in psychology and counseling along the way. She then went
on to complete a Master's in Health Sciences in Physician Assistant Studies
at Quinnipiac College in Hamden, Connecticutt. She worked in primary care in
underserved, rural health communities before working in her current position as
a PA in Rheumatology at the University of North Texas Health Science Center in
Fort Worth, Texas. She is a member of the Tarrant County Physician Assistant
Association, the Texas Academy of Physician Assistants, the American Academy
of Physician Assistants, the Association of Rheumatology Health Professionals,
and the Society of Physician Assistants in Rheumatology.
Adam graduated from Springfield College in 2003 with a BS in Exercise
Physiology. Upon graduation, he worked as an Exercise physiologist and PT
Aide until going back to school at Purchase college in 2008 for Pre-med. He
is currently in the PA program at Quinnipiac University, class of 2011.
Michelle is currently in her clinical year of PA school at Quinnipiac
University. She has a particular interest in Rheumatology and spreading awareness
about the specialty to other students. Community service and outreach is also
an important aspect of her life. She spends time volunteering at underserved
clinics and schools in the community, as well as helping to lead an annual
medical relief trip to the Dominican Republic. Prior to PA school, Michelle was
a health teacher for grade school, a high school track coach and a personal
trainer. She spent much of her time promoting wellness. She gained hospital
experience as a medical technician in the Emergency Department at Lahey Clinic
as well. During her undergraduate studies at UMASS Lowell, she was captain of
the women’s track and cross country teams, leading them to NCAA nationals. In
her spare time, she enjoys running and has competed in the Boston Marathon
multiple times. It is her goal to be actively involved in SPAR and possibly
participate in future research as the field expands.
