Are you a
self-directed Rheumatology PA who is motivated and has a lot of positive energy? Do
you have time and skills to contribute to the advancement of PAs in rheumatology? If
you would like to volunteer, please contact the SPAR
office. Whether it is just a few hours a month or a couple hours a week, SPAR
appreciates any time you can give helping your colleagues. The Society of PAs in
Rheumatology has developed a mentoring program for anyone interested in Board duties or
committee duties. Specify your interests and SPAR will identify a resource who can
help you learn the job and allow you to assume responsibilty over time.
Physician
assistants exercise leadership skills in all levels of their personal and professional
lives - in their clinical practices, volunteer organizations, families, and community
outreach. Recognizing this, the Leadership and Professional Development (LAPD)
council of AAPA manages the PA Toolbox to provide you with the resources (or
“tools”) that you need to enhance your development. The LAPD has
developed a track on the Toolbox specifically designed to meet the needs of Constituent
Leaders. To find out more, visit: www.aapa.org/toolbox/constit-leaders.html
