News from the American College of Rheumatology/Association of Rheumatology Health Professionals
The American College of Rheumatology has formed a Musculoskeletal Ultrasound task force which is charged to assess the feasibility of developing certification for use of Musculoskeletal Ultrasound in the course of Rheumatology Practice. Physician Assistants and Nurse Practitioners are expected to be included along with Rheumatology Physicians in this process. Stay tuned for updates regarding new developments. Mission and Purpose Statement

SPAR's mission is to enhance the health and well being of the people with Rheumatological disorders through the representation and advancement of the Physician-PA Team. SPAR's purpose is to provide the general membership of the organization with a forum for informal assembly regarding the issues that related to the Society of Physician Assistants.

In addition, SPAR strives to facilitate mutual assistance and support of physician assistants, health professionals, and health services by organizing and disseminating health care information through forums, panels, and other similar programs concerning the delivery and quality of Rheumatological health care services.
